These Terms of Service ("Terms") govern your use of Cenmax hosting services and related products. By creating an account or using our services, you agree to be bound by these Terms.

1. Eligibility & Account Requirements

To use Cenmax services, you must:

  • Be at least 18 years of age
  • Be legally capable of entering into binding contracts
  • Provide authentic and accurate contact information
  • Maintain the security of your account credentials

Accounts registered with invalid or fraudulent contact details will undergo manual verification before service provisioning. We reserve the right to refuse service to anyone at our sole discretion.

2. Payment Terms

Cenmax operates on a prepaid basis. We accept the following payment methods:

  • PayPal
  • Credit/Debit Cards
  • UPI (India)
  • IMPS/NEFT Bank Transfer (India)

Billing & Renewal

Services are billed in advance for the selected billing cycle. Automatic renewal via credit card or PayPal requires a minimum 5-day notice for cancellation before the renewal date.

Account Balance

Client balances held in Cenmax accounts possess zero value in real-world currencies and cannot be withdrawn or transferred. Balances may only be used to purchase or renew Cenmax services.

Non-Payment

In case of non-payment:

  • A 12-hour grace period is provided before service suspension
  • Data is retained for 15 days after suspension
  • After 15 days, all data is permanently deleted without possibility of recovery

3. Acceptable Use Policy (AUP)

You may not use Cenmax services for any illegal or prohibited activities, including but not limited to:

  • Sending unsolicited bulk email (spam)
  • Phishing, fraud, or identity theft schemes
  • Distribution of malware, viruses, or malicious code
  • Child exploitation material (CSAM)
  • Copyright or trademark infringement
  • IP spoofing or network abuse
  • Cryptocurrency mining on shared resources
  • Running proxy services, Tor exit nodes, or VPN services (unless on dedicated servers)
  • DDoS attacks or participation in botnets

Violation Consequences

Intentional violations: Immediate termination without refund. Account details may be reported to fraud databases and relevant authorities.

Unintentional violations: Two written warnings will be issued. A third violation results in termination.

4. Shared Hosting Restrictions

Shared hosting accounts operate on resources shared with other customers. To ensure fair usage:

  • No single account may consume more than 25% of server node resources for more than 10 consecutive minutes
  • File sharing, data warehousing, and backup storage services are prohibited
  • Bulk mailing and mailing list services are not permitted
  • Streaming media services are not allowed
  • Game servers, voice servers, and similar applications are prohibited

Accounts exceeding these limits will be notified and may be suspended or required to upgrade to a VPS or dedicated server.

5. Uptime Guarantee

Cenmax provides the following uptime guarantees:

Downtime Credits

If we fail to meet our uptime guarantee, you are entitled to service credits:

  • 1% of your recurring monthly cost for every hour of downtime
  • Maximum credit: 10% of monthly cost

Credits must be requested within 7 days of the downtime event and are applied to future invoices only. Scheduled maintenance, customer-caused issues, and force majeure events are excluded.

6. Refund Policy

30-Day Money-Back Guarantee

Shared hosting services include a 30-day money-back guarantee for new customers. This guarantee:

  • Is limited to one claim per customer
  • Applies only to shared hosting plans
  • Excludes domain registration fees ($14 deduction per free domain)
  • Excludes setup fees ($5 deduction if applicable)

Non-Refundable Items

The following are non-refundable under any circumstances:

  • Dedicated servers
  • VPS hosting
  • Domain registrations and transfers
  • SSL certificates
  • Software licenses
  • Setup and migration fees
  • Add-on services

7. Support & Backups

Technical Support

Our technical support covers hosting-level issues only, including:

  • Server and network connectivity
  • Control panel access and functionality
  • Email delivery issues at the server level
  • Database connectivity

We do not provide support for custom scripts, application development, website design, or third-party software configuration.

Backups

Free backup services are provided as a courtesy and include limited retention. Backups are overwritten daily and we cannot guarantee the availability or completeness of backup data. You are solely responsible for maintaining your own backups.

8. Limitation of Liability

To the maximum extent permitted by law:

  • Cenmax's total liability shall not exceed the amounts actually paid by you during the preceding 12 months
  • We are not liable for indirect, incidental, special, consequential, or punitive damages
  • We are not responsible for data loss, security breaches, or service interruptions beyond our reasonable control
  • Services are provided "as is" without warranties of any kind, express or implied

9. Termination

Either party may terminate services:

  • By Customer: Cancel at any time via the client portal. No refunds for unused time except as specified in the refund policy.
  • By Cenmax: We may terminate services immediately for AUP violations, non-payment, or at our discretion with reasonable notice.

Upon termination, you must download your data within 7 days. After this period, all data will be permanently deleted.

10. Changes to Terms

Cenmax reserves the right to modify these Terms at any time. Changes will be posted on this page with an updated "Last updated" date. Continued use of our services after changes constitutes acceptance of the modified Terms.

For material changes that affect your rights, we will provide notice via email at least 30 days before the changes take effect.
